Four times a day, we chant the Liturgy of the Hours as a Community and unite ourselves with Jesus in His prayer to the Father on behalf of all mankind.

In praying the Liturgy of the Hours, we participate in the praise given to God by the entire Church.  Our founder St. Francis, too, commissioned his followers to pray the Divine Office of the Church for the praise of the Creator.  This is the prayer which Christ, in the Holy Spirit and united with his Mystical Body, the Church, offers to His Father, to give thanks for everything. Constitutions, 204.

“And so I beseech...that the clerics say the Office devoutly, not concentrating on the melody of the chant, but being careful that their hearts are in harmony so that their words may be in harmony with their hearts and their hearts with God.”
