In 1972, Mother M. Sixtina’s love for the missions
led to the sending of the first two Sisters from
Alton to Cruzeiro do Sul, Brazil. There are now 45
Sisters working in all areas of evangelization,
teaching, and health care among the very poor of
Northwestern Brazil.
